It is an ablative procedure, which means body tissue is removed. However, the Sciton Profractional laser targets damaged cells only, leaving healthy tissue intact.

What Is a Sciton Profractional Laser Session Like?

After you are comfortably situated in our deluxe med spa and all your questions have been answered, our highly trained staff will start by cleaning the treatment target areas. You and the practitioner will wear specialized glasses to protect your eyes from the laser.

Then your practitioner will adjust the settings on the specially designed handpiece and pass it over the target areas. Numbing cream can be utilized if needed. The length of the procedure depends on the number of areas treated, but it is typically quick.

What Is Recovery Like?

There is minimal to no downtime needed for this treatment. After your ProFractional laser session, you may notice that your skin feels tight and appears red, resembling a sunburn. This will fade in a day or two. It may take 7-10 days for the skin to fully heal. During this time, patients must stay out of direct sunlight, and use sunscreen and a full-coverage hat when outside during the day.
