Nose Reconstruction Alpharetta
Skin cancer is the most common kind of cancer in the world with over 2 million cases diagnosed each year. The face is an extremely difficult place to remove and reconstruct a skin cancer. When skin is removed from the face, the challenge is filling that area with skin that looks identical to the old skin without distorting any of the other facial features.
Patients can be left with small pencil eraser size defects ranging to very large facial defects. Dr. Robb is specially trained in facial reconstruction and understands the approaches and techniques to help you obtain the best possible outcome.
For patients who have had or who have MOHs surgery planned for a nasal lesion, trust your reconstruction to an expert. Dr. Robb has extensive experience in facial reconstruction and will spend time with you discussing your needs and concerns. After this discussion, together you will formulate the best method of reconstruction based specific circumstance.
A thorough understanding of nasal and facial anatomy is crucial when discussing nasal reconstruction. While it’s impossible to perform facial reconstruction surgery without incisions and thus scars, Dr. Robb often places incisions in “facial subunit borders” that are often undetected to the human eye after healing.

Recovery consists of light activity for several days depending on the procedure performed. Post operative instructions are given to our patients as well as Dr. Robb’s information as he beleives the recovery period is better without the anxiety and concern of the unknown.
